BETBOSS General Terms & Conditions

White Rhino Ventures Ltd, trading as BetBoss Gaming and in the abbreviated format of BetBoss (hereinafter referred to interchangeably as The Company and BetBoss), a company registered under the laws of Kenya (no. PVT-RXULAV) whose registered address is: Floor 9, Westcom Point, Mahiga Mairu Avenue, Westlands, Nairobi.

White Rhino Ventures Ltd is authorized and regulated by the Betting Control and Licensing Board of Kenya (hereinafter referred to as “BCLB”) under the Betting, Lotteries and Gaming Act, Cap 131, Laws of Kenya under License number: 0000018.

All BetBoss Games remain subject to the provisions of the Betting Lotteries and Gaming Act (Cap 131 Laws of Kenya) and any disputes arising hereunder shall be resolved in accordance with such provision.

This agreement establishes the Terms and Conditions that govern the contractual relationship between the Company and the Player and shall apply when You play any BetBoss Game via any media or electronic platform, including inter alia, mobile devices, tablets, laptops and computers. Each BetBoss Game may also have its own game-specific Procedures and Rules that apply and Players are reminded that they will be deemed to have agreed to and be bound by such Procedures and Rules. You are required to accept these Terms and Conditions when interacting with the services offered by the Company and you are bound by these Terms and Conditions throughout the existence of the relationship. The Terms and Conditions govern the way we do business, how we take and settle bets, and how we identify what the Player can expect from BetBoss. By using our services, regardless of how a Player accesses them, the Player acknowledges and confirms acceptance of these terms and agrees to abide and be bound by them. If a Player does not agree to these terms of use, he or she should refrain from using our services.



1.1.          Your Kenyan mobile phone number (+254) is your Customer identity. We use mobile phone numbers to uniquely identify customers and their account details and for territorial restrictions on Players. To be eligible to register for an account with BetBoss, the Player must be of legal age (namely, 18 years or over) and register personally. The Player must provide and confirm age in the registration field. The Company reserves the right to request proof of age from any Player and to suspend an account pending the provision of satisfactory documentation. The name of the Player must match the name used when registering with the Company and must also exactly match the name that appears on the identification used when registering the mobile phone and mobile money account. If it is discovered that this is not the case, the relevant account will be suspended. In such circumstances it is advised that the Player contact our Customer Service Centre at 0703 065 777 or [email protected] In the event of a suspension, all bets that are places prior to the suspension will stand, win or lose. However, if is discovered that the account holder is under the legal age, the account will be terminated without notice, indefinitely, with all funds deposited to the account forfeited. The matter will be reported to all relevant authorities, including the BCLB. Players agree to provide any information required to verify the accuracy of registration details and BetBoss reserves the right to suspend any account in any manner deemed in our discretion to be appropriate, pending the verification of any requisite checks to our satisfaction.

1.2.          BetBoss accepts no liability to the Player or any third party, in the event of the provision of incorrect or false data. When engaging the services offered by BetBoss, the Player agrees not to:

a)                       Act in the interest of any third party

b)                       Use money obtained from criminal or other nefarious sources or activities

c)                       Credit accounts with funds from bank accounts, credit card accounts, mobile money accounts, or another source that the Player is not authorised to use

d)                       Attempt to hack any of BetBoss’ systems, including the mobile phone service, website, and all other media and electronic platforms, nor to alter the code in any way in an attempt to cheat, override or manipulate the system or in any way commit fraud or any other crime

e)                       Engage in any criminal behaviour targeting BetBoss, its affiliates, or any third party

f)                        Mislead BetBoss by intentionally providing false information of any kind at any time, including but not limited to: invalid account details; forged documentation; and any false identity information regarding age, location, etc. In the event of a change to the information provided, such as a change of address or similar, the Player agrees to update the account details accordingly.

1.3.          In the event of a breach of the provisions of the above (clauses 1.1 & 1.2) BetBoss reserves the right to close the account and seize all available funds. In such circumstances, BetBoss will report the matter to the BCLB and any other governing authority deemed appropriate. Notwithstanding the above, any contractual obligations to the Player will be honoured in the absence of any breach of any term or condition, or breach of any law – including the Laws of Kenya and any applicable International Law. It is the obligation of the Player to ensure, when opening an account and engaging the services of BetBoss that the Player is not infringing on any laws of any relevant jurisdiction.

1.4.          Players agree to open or operate no more than one account at any time and acknowledge that should BetBoss discover the operation of more than one account by any individual Player, BetBoss shall, at its absolute discretion, reserve the right to suspend or terminate all accounts relating to the Player. In addition, if multiple accounts have been created by a single Player deliberately with mis-leading information, or if the Player has displayed criminal behaviour, or if BetBoss concludes, in its sole discretion that the Player has fraudulent intentions, BetBoss shall be entitled to close the accounts, confiscate all funds including deposits, and provide a detailed report to the BCLB and any other relevant authorities.

1.5.          If a Player chooses to nominate a third party as an authorised user of the Player’s account, the Player shall be solely responsible for all transactions made. As such BetBoss strongly discourages such behaviour. If a Player has any suspicions in relation to the use of an account, we suggest that they contact our Customer Service department at the earliest possible convenience.

1.6.          BetBoss manages Players’ accounts and calculates available funds, pending funds, betting funds, and the amount of winnings; these amounts are prima facie considered final and not subject to dispute, unless proven conclusively otherwise.

1.7.          Account transactions for BetBoss in Kenya are performed in Kenyan Shillings (KSh). No interest is applicable to any funds, irrespective of the amount in your account or any delay in remitting funds to your account for any reason.

1.8.          BetBoss is not a financial institution, nor is it licensed as such – therefore, the Company shall not be used as an intermediary to transfer funds, used or unused, irrespective of the intentions, nor may the company be used as a currency exchange bureau. Should it be recognised that you are using your account for such purposes, BetBoss reserves the right the close your account and seize any available funds from your account. Contractual obligations will be honoured in the absence of a breach of terms and conditions. Credit facilities are not offered by BetBoss nor by its employees or assigns – all bets must be supported by sufficient funds in the Player’s account. BetBoss reserves the right to void any bet that was inadvertently accepted if the Player did not have sufficient funds in the account. Should any funds be remitted to a Player’s account in error, it is the responsibility of the Player to notify the BetBoss customer service team at the earliest possible opportunity. Failure to do so may result in the recovery of such funds by way of an account adjustment, and the termination of the Player’s account. Any winnings subsequent to the error shall be deemed invalid and returned to BetBoss. BetBoss retains an irrevocable right to reverse the transaction.

1.9.          Abusive and aggressive behaviour, including obscene language, directed at any BetBoss representative, will not be tolerated under any circumstances. This applies to all support platforms, including chat, mail, telephone, or any other outlet. Any reports of such behaviour may result in the denial of access to our support platforms and may also be reported to the relevant authorities for action.

1.10.       The Username on all Accounts must be the Player’s registered mobile telephone number, registered using the Player’s authorised government issued photo ID. It is the responsibility of the Player to keep login ID and password secret at all times and to ensure such information is kept secure. If a Player suspects that login information is no longer secure, you are required to immediately contact BetBoss customer service to inform of the security breach and change your security details. In the event that your account is accessed by a third party without your prior consent, BetBoss shall not be liable for any consequences that may occur.

1.11.       The sale, transfer, acquisition, or assignment of accounts to or from other Players is strictly prohibited and may result in the termination of all relevant Players’ Accounts together with the forfeiture of the funds in the Accounts.

1.12.       Accounts that are inactive for a period of 3 months or more will become dormant, irrespective of any balances residing in the Player’s Gaming Wallet. BetBoss shall, in its sole discretion, terminate a dormant account and refund the balance to the Player, or where applicable, take alternative measures as appropriate and provided for by law. It is advised that Players log in to their account on a regular basis to avoid dormant account status.

1.13.       BetBoss reserves an irrevocable right to terminate any Player’s account at any time at its discretion or to suspend an Account at any time for any reason. Without limiting the foregoing, BetBoss may terminate or suspend an Account if:

a)                       It is discovered that a Player has become bankrupt

b)                       BetBoss considers that you have used the services, products, or platform in a fraudulent manner or for any illegal, unlawful, improper or other nefarious purpose

c)                       BetBoss considers that you have used the services, products, or platform in an unfair manner or have deliberately cheated or taken unfair advantage of BetBoss or any of its customers of affiliates

d)                       BetBoss is requested to do so by the police or any other relevant governing authority or court

e)                       BetBoss considers that any of the above-mentioned events may have occurred or are likely to occur

1.14.       If BetBoss terminates or suspends your account for any reason, you may be liable for any or all claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses incurred or suffered by BetBoss and shall indemnify on demand for such claims. BetBoss shall also be entitled to withhold or retain any amounts that would otherwise have been paid or were payable to you (including any winnings or bonus payments.

1.15.       If it is proved that none of these Terms and Conditions have been breached, any funds available in the Player’s Account will be returned to the Player if BetBoss has terminated the Player’s Account. No interest accrues to any funds owed to any player at any time for any reason, i.e. any refund due to a Player shall not incorporate any interest calculations.

1.16.       The use of certain devices, such as robots, computers or other electronic devices that distort the normal and fair game play is strictly prohibited and discovery of the use of any such device will result in the immediate termination of the account, the confiscations of all funds and earnings due. The activity will be reported to the relevant authorities with any subsequent consequences to be suffered by the Player.





2.1.          For all BetBoss deposits, the mobile telephone number of the Player must be identical to the mobile phone number registered on the company account receiving funds, i.e. the Registered Account. Any charges levied by the relevant mobile operator payment gateways will be deducted from the Player’s account. Money should only be deposited in the Player’s Account for the purposes using such money to place bets or stakes in games offered on our platform. Depositing funds inn your account for any other reason may result in the suspension or termination of your account. Players can only bet, or stake amounts up to and not exceeding the balance in the Gaming Wallet.

2.2.          Bonus funds may be credited to the Player’s Account as part of a promotion, loyalty reward, or other marketing campaign. Such funds will typically not be available for withdrawal, do not reside in the Gaming Wallet, and must only be used for placing bets. Depending the specific terms and conditions and/or rules for such promotions, these credits may be withdrawn and/or convertible to hard currency after the fulfilment of the specific terms and conditions associated with the promotion.

2.3.          At any time, a Player can review their bets placed by logging into their account to view a statement of all transactions made in the last 30 days. BetBoss shall not be held liable for the accuracy of such statements and should a Player find any anomalies in the statement, the Player should report the matter to the customer services department. If an inaccuracy is confirmed, BetBoss will rectify at the earliest convenience. Notwithstanding the above, BetBoss recommends that Player keep independent records of all the transaction information and activity on the account to avoid any misunderstandings.

2.4.          Funds can be withdrawn at any time in accordance with these terms and conditions.

2.5.          The minimum withdrawal is Ksh 100

2.6.          Withdrawals will be processed to your Mobile Money Service Provider and actual receipt of funds is determined by the service provider

2.7.          Free bets or promotional awards of any kind cannot be withdrawn.

2.8.          In the event you choose to withdraw funds from your account and have not carried out any financial activity, or if the financial activity on your account equates to a sum of less than 50% of the amount deposited by you, then BetBoss reserves the right to charge a transaction processing fee of up to 5% of the requested withdrawal amount with a minimum charge of Ksh 50

2.9.          "Financial activity" is defined by the placing of bets anywhere on this website



3.1.          You are responsible for keeping safe and confidential any information required to claim a Prize for a Bet (including, for example, the relevant Ticket or bet details and Your Identification Information). You acknowledge that if You are not able to provide sufficient Identification Information when claiming a Prize, You will not receive that Prize.

3.2.          You are also responsible for:

a)     Checking that Your account shows the correct Bet

b)     Claiming (where applicable) and checking You receive the full amount of any Prize You are entitled to.

c)     If there are any taxes applicable to the Prizes, BetBoss will deduct the same at the prevailing rate and remit to the Tax collection Agency. These taxes will be deducted automatically from the prize. The current rate of Winnings Tax is 20% and this shall be calculated as the WINNINGS * 20%. Should any difference arise between the amount collected and the amount owed by the Player to KRA due to subsequent official interpretations of the relevant provisions of the Finance Act, the Betting Lotteries and Gaming Act (Cap 131), or any related statutory instrument, regulation, or official guideline, BetBoss may refund any surplus amounts to player accounts.

3.3.          Self-Exclusion

We realise that for some Customers gambling might become a fundamental problem and for such Customers we offer a self-exclusion option for a period from seven days up to permanent exclusion, as per a Customer's request. If you wish to self-exclude, please either contact Customer Services specifying the period you wish to be self-excluded for, or choose the "Self-Exclude" option found within your "My Account" section of this website. If you choose to contact Customer Services, kindly note that only upon a clear "self-exclusion" request will your account be suspended for the agreed time. Otherwise all accounts will be "closed" and can be reopened at any time upon a Customer's request. Please read through our Responsible Gaming guide for more information.



4.1.          You can only claim a Prize if You are the holder of an Account with a Winning Bet.

4.2.          Any winnings will be deposited in Your Gaming Wallet



5.1.      Although ID is not required to activate an account, BetBoss reserves the right to demand evidence of the original ID form used to create the Mobile Money account before paying out on any successful bet

5.2.      The Company will declare a Bet invalid (and will not, therefore, pay any Prize relating to that Bet) if:

a)          The Bet is the result of an act by You or another person that was intended to increase the chances of You or that person winning a Prize in the relevant Game above the chances enjoyed by other Players of that Game, or to increase that Prize; or

b)          The Bet is counterfeit, all or part of the Bet has been forged, or the Bet fails to pass THE COMPANY’s validation and security checks; or

c)          The details associated with a Bet do not match the Company’s official records of that Bet

d)          The Company reasonably believes that the Bet was purchased by or on behalf of a person falling within one of the categories in Rule 5.3.

5.3.      The Company may declare a Bet invalid (and will not be obliged to pay any Prize) if:

a)          The Company reasonably believes that the person claiming the Prize is not the holder of the relevant Account or that person’s duly authorised representative, or that the information provided by the person claiming the Prize is incomplete or has been altered or tampered with

b)          The Bet has not been issued or sold by the Company

c)          The Ticket Number (or any other unique feature of the Bet) does not match the records on the Company’s Computer System



6.1.      The Information below sets out how Interactive Prizes of different amounts should be claimed and will be paid.

a)          Prizes ranging in value from ‘Ksh100 to Ksh70,000’: Prizes and other winnings in this category will automatically be deposited into Your Gaming Wallet [GM2] on your Account.

b)          Prizes of values of ‘Ksh70,000 to Ksh1,000,000’: For Prizes and other winnings in the amount of Ksh70,000 to Ksh1,000,000 from Games or Jackpots, BetBoss reserve the right to require that the Player claim the Prizes in person at THE COMPANY's office. Further information can be obtained by contacting THE COMPANY's Customer Service Centre at +254 (0)703 065777. You acknowledge and agree that You may be required to comply with all THE COMPANY prize claim requirements, including the confirmations of Your identity and entitlement to the prize, to THE COMPANY's satisfaction, at its sole and absolute discretion. IF requested, you will be required to provide the valid government-issued photo identification used to register the register the mobile money account associated with the Account, together with any other information that THE COMPANY may require confirmation of Your eligibility for a prize.

c)          Prizes of values of ‘Ksh1,000,000 and more’: Prizes and other winnings in the amount of Ksh1,000,000 from Games and Jackpots that are purchased or played on the BetBoss platform must be claimed in person at THE COMPANY's Office by the Player to whom the Ticket was issued. Further information can be obtained by contacting THE COMPANY's Customer Service Centre at +254 (0)703 065777. You acknowledge and agree that You will be required to comply with all THE COMPANY prize claim requirements, including the confirmation of Your identity and entitlement to the prize to THE COMPANY's satisfaction, at its sole and absolute discretion. You will be required to provide the valid government-issued photo identification that was used to register the mobile money account associated with the BetBoss account, together with any other information THE COMPANY may require to confirm Your eligibility for a prize. You further acknowledge that the prize amount may take up to 28 days to be presented to You.


6.2.      THE COMPANY reserves the right to:

a)          Pay Prizes by cheque, bank transfer, direct credit or Mobile Money if more than Ksh70,000. If payment is made for Prizes of Ksh70,000 or less, this will be deposited directly into your Gaming Wallet which is linked to the Mobile Money Account registered to Your Account

b)          Ask You to attend the Company’s head office to claim Your Prize

c)          Withhold a Prize, providing it is acting reasonably, until it is entirely satisfied that an Account or Bet is valid and that the claim has been made in good faith

d)          Withhold a Prize (or seek and/or recover a Prize already paid) until all appropriate checks and enquiries have been carried out, if in its discretion it believes, on reasonable grounds, that You (as the person claiming a Prize) are: not lawfully entitled to receipt of a Prize; or that a Prize has been paid to You in circumstances where THE COMPANY that the Bet is invalid or defective; or where there is any other reason for THE COMPANY (acting reasonably) to question Your entitlement to the Prize. Any checks and enquiries will be carried out promptly by THE COMPANY. You shall repay immediately upon demand any Prize THE COMPANY seeks to recover

e)          Recover a Prize incorrectly paid into Your Account

f)           Request proof of entitlement to a Prize (including, without limitation, Identification Information, proof of identity and capacity to claim)

g)          Refuse to pay a Prize If You are unable or fail to produce sufficient Identification Information when claiming a Prize

h)          Photograph anyone claiming a Prize for THE COMPANY’s records

i)           Request a court to decide to whom a Prize should be paid and/or make a payment to the court.

j)           Refuse to pay a prize if You refuse to sign all the documentation required by the Insurance Underwriters in the event of claiming an insured prize or Jackpot

6.3.      The right to a Prize is not transferable.

6.4.      THE COMPANY will not be responsible or liable to any person claiming a Prize which has been paid to a person who assumed the identity of the relevant Account.

6.5.      No interest will be payable on any Prize, including without limitation: whilst any checks or enquiries are being carried out in relation to a Winning Bet; whilst a dispute about the Bet or Prize claim is being resolved; or for the period a Prize remains unclaimed.

6.6.      Any charges levied by the Mobile Operators’ payment gateways may be deducted from Your account.

6.7.      Any applicable taxes levied by the Kenyan Revenue Authority will be deducted from Your account.



7.1.          When You claim or are paid a prize in excess of Ksh70,000, You will automatically be deemed to grant to THE COMPANY an irrevocable right to publish, through all types of media broadcasting, including the internet, for the purposes of promoting the win, Your full name (as well as Your nick name), hometown, photograph, and video materials without any claim for broadcasting, printing or other rights, for a period of up to thirty-six months from the date of prize award. You also give THE COMPANY the right to publish, for a period of up to thirty-six months from the date of the prize award, any additional information that You voluntarily provide. You shall have no claim against THE COMPANY for invasion of privacy or on any other ground(s) due to the publication or broadcasting of Your Name, hometown, photograph, video materials, or information voluntarily provided by You.

7.2.          If You win a Prize, You understand and accept that THE COMPANY may, if required by law, provide a third party with details of any Prize claimed by You or on Your behalf, or paid to You, as per the terms of the Privacy Policy.

7.3.          By participating in any BetBoss Game, You expressly consent to the collection, use and disclosure by the Company, its employees, agents and/or service providers, of the Participant’s Personal Information.

7.4.          You accept that the Company has the right to send you promotional messages unless You explicitly opt out.



8.1.          In the event of a Game Closure relating to a single game, BetBoss will reimburse the Players Gaming Wallet with an amount equal to the bet amount.

8.2.          In the event of a Game Closure relating to an accumulator, the bet will be treated as though the closed game was not included and the pay-out will be adjusted accordingly to reflect the same

8.3.          In the event of a Game Closure relating to the Jackpot 13 game, please refer to the game specific rules for the Jackpot 13 game.

8.4.          BetBoss may also (at its absolute discretion) suspend or withdraw any Game following consultation with or instruction from the BCLB.



9.1.          Where instructed by the BCLB, THE COMPANY will declare that a Bet is defective. In these circumstances, all relevant Entries and all relevant Prizes won will be void and THE COMPANY will either:

a)          Provide You with an opportunity to place another Bet of equivalent price; or

b)          Refund the amount paid for the defective Bet.

9.2.          If THE COMPANY is fully satisfied after proper and careful consideration and enquiries that the cancellation of a Bet was wholly and directly the result of THE COMPANY’s fraud, negligence, or error, and that Bet would, but for that cancellation, have been a Winning Bet, then THE COMPANY will not refund the cost of the Bet and THE COMPANY’s only liability will be to pay an amount equal to the Prize that You would have been entitled to if the cancellation did not take place.

9.3.          THE COMPANY’s only obligation is to pay the Prizes won in any Game into the rightful owners of Winning Entries, or provide a refund in the circumstances set out in these Rules. Without limiting the effect of Rules 9.1 and 9.5, THE COMPANY will not be liable in any circumstances for any loss of whatever nature other than, subject to Rule 9.4, the non-payment of a Prize or the non-payment of a refund You are entitled to under these Rules. In particular, but without limitation, THE COMPANY will not be liable for any loss of profits, or any special, indirect or consequential loss, suffered or incurred by You (or any holder or owner of a Bet, any person claiming a Prize during the Claim Period, or any other person) that arises out of the withdrawal from any Jackpot 13, or from the participation or non-participation of You or any person in any Jackpot 13. This includes the loss, for whatever reason, of the chance to participate in that Jackpot 13.

9.4.          THE COMPANY will not be liable to any person for:

a)              Events beyond its reasonable control and expectations (for example war, strike, lockout, industrial action, fire, flood, drought, power cut and/or failure or obstruction of any network, broadcasting or telecommunications service);

b)             The failure or destruction of, or damage to, all or part of the computer systems or records of THE COMPANY or any third party (including, without limitation, the Site and/or THE COMPANY’s Computer System);

c)              Any mistakes caused by all or part of the computer systems or records of THE COMPANY or any third party (including, without limitation, the Site and/or THE COMPANY’s Computer System);

d)             Delays, losses, mistakes, or omissions in or made by the postal or other delivery service; the banking system; or any service related to communications via the Mobile Operator’s Network

e)              Any other action or event which prevents or hinders the issuing of a valid Bet (including without limitation the failure of the Site to display correctly on any device used to view it);

f)              The refusal to allow any person to bet or to allow any person to play a Jackpot 13 Played Online or via SMS or Mobile Money;

g)              Any losses caused by You, including the misuse or unauthorised use of passwords, money lost by playing the Jackpot 13 Played Online or via SMS, and the failure to keep THE COMPANY informed of changes to Your contact details;

h)             Any losses caused by the failure or malfunction of Your: equipment or technology; internet service provider; mobile phone network operator; equipment, technology; or the internet service provider or mobile phone network operator of any other person or third party.

9.5.          Nothing in these Rules excludes or limits:

(a) any person’s liability

(i) for fraud

(ii) for death or personal injury caused by breach of any duty that person may have to take reasonable care or exercise reasonable skill

(b) any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.



10.1.      THE COMPANY’s decision about whether a Bet is a Winning Bet, or in relation to any other matter or dispute arising from the payment or non-payment of Prizes, will be final and binding, if it is a reasonable decision (and subject to these rules). Without limiting the effect of the previous sentence following any such decision made by THE COMPANY, THE COMPANY may (at its discretion), reimburse the cost of the Bet or replace the disputed Bet with a Bet on any current Jackpot of the same price.

10.2.      The remedy in Rule 10.1 will be the Player’s sole and exclusive remedy, and any reimbursement or replacement will fully discharge THE COMPANY from any liability in respect of such a dispute (subject to Rule 10.3). THE COMPANY will not be liable to pay any interest in respect of any reimbursement made under this Rule 12.

10.3.      THE COMPANY may withhold payment of a Prize and/or make an equivalent payment into court until any dispute has been resolved.

10.4       In all circumstances where a dispute arises in relation to any of BetBoss' services, the final decision on the resolution of the same shall rest with the BCLB following consultations from both parties.



This agreement and the contractual relationship between you and the Company shall be governed by these Terms and Conditions and construed in accordance with the relevant and applicable Laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any legal proceedings will be heard in the Kenyan courts.



12.1.       Any person who bets, or submits a betting slip for validation, or who claims a Prize in whatever capacity, agrees to be bound by the provisions of any applicable legislation, these Rules (all as amended from time to time) and any other rules or procedures, statements, or explanations THE COMPANY may issue in respect of the games played on the BetBoss platform.

12.2.       THE COMPANY may change these Rules, Terms & Conditions at any time. These changes will be effective immediately from the date of their publication on the Site (or any earlier time THE COMPANY states), or on notification to You that the changes have taken place (whichever takes place sooner) and will apply to Bets played after the date on which the changes become effective, and/or Entries bought before that date if reasonable in the circumstances. Notification will likely be via SMS, but may be by email, Account notification, Facebook post, or any other form of communication reasonably considered and decided by BetBoss as appropriate. You agree that You will be bound by the changes when You next play any BetBoss Game, when you next access Your Account, when you claim a Prize after the changes have become effective, or (where relevant) when You expressly accept the changes - whichever takes place first.

12.3.       If any provision (or part thereof) or rule mentioned above is decided by a court of the Republic of Kenya to be void and/or unenforceable, that decision will only affect the provision (or part thereof) and will not make any other provisions void or unenforceable.

12.4.       You may not assign or otherwise transfer (in whole or in part) Your rights and/or obligations under these Rules. Any breach of this Rule may result in the use of Your being terminated immediately by THE COMPANY. THE COMPANY may assign or otherwise transfer its rights and/or obligations under these Rules in whole or in part to any third party at its sole discretion.

12.5.       You agree that when You contact the Customer Care Team, You will supply any Game Related Information required by THE COMPANY.

12.6.       The Company reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time and without prior notice. Best efforts will be made to inform Players about major modifications to these Terms and Conditions. Notwithstanding same, it is the responsibility of the Player to check for amendments and it shall be assumed that by playing, all Players have read, understand, and agree to the Terms and Conditions.

12.7.       Privacy: The Company will respect Your privacy and shall make efforts to preserve your information in strict confidence at all times, subject to the provisions of clause 7.1 supra. However, the Company shall not be liable for any loss of data. Your personal information will not be disclosed to third parties except: where required for the processing of your requests; under duty or legal obligation; for enforcement of the Terms & Conditions; or for the protection of the rights or property of the company. Note: personal information provided may be disclosed to a credit reference bureau who may keep records of such information.

12.8.       Force Majeure: The Company is not responsible in any way for any consequences resulting from major incidents beyond the Company’s control, such as: strikes, terrorist activities, political crises, wars, natural catastrophes, saturation of the telecommunication networks, cyber-attacks, hacking, etc.

12.9.       Intellectual Property: All content on our Site, SMS, Mobile service, and all other media and electronic platforms is owned by the Company, its affiliates and third-party contractors, and is protected by international intellectual property and copyright laws and regulations, including: products, logos, trademarks, service marks, trading names, etc. No part of the Site, SMS, or Mobile service may be copied, reproduced, stored, modified, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted or distributed, by any means or in any manner, nor may it be included in any other website or in any public or private electronic retrieval system or service including text, graphics, video, messages, code, or software, without prior written consent from the Company.

12.10.    The Law prohibits underage betting, i.e. betting by persons under the age of 18. As such we may at any time ask you to confirm your age. Underage clients will have their accounts closed immediately and any balances forfeited. We may also suspend ANY account for any reason and ask you to come with ID to one of our offices or agents to confirm your age and identity. 12.11.    Once placed, Bets cannot be cancelled or amended once the bet has been recorded in our system. Once the system has confirmed that a Bet has been placed, a contract is in place between the Player and BetBoss. BetBoss reserves the right to refuse/cancel any bet or part of a bet before the game starts without providing any justification. BetBoss also reserves the right to refuse/cancel any bet or part of a bet that is placed while a game is in progress if there is sufficient evidence that the Customer was placing a bet with prior knowledge of an event that would affect the accurate pricing of a market – for example, betting on the first-to-score market while the first goal is being scored.

12.12.    BetBoss accepts bets made online and via Mobile or SMS, which for clarity includes the use of iPhone, Android applications and early generation GSM phones. Bets are not accepted in any other form (telephone, email, fax, in person, etc.) and any bets received in these forms will be null and void.

12.13.    Bets will only be accepted up to the advertised start time. Any bet that is inadvertently accepted, which includes an event after its start time, the bet will be cancelled. If any portion of a multiple bet is inadvertently accepted then all parts of that multiple bet will be cancelled.

12.14.    BetBoss does not accept responsibility for damages or losses deemed or alleged to have resulted from or been caused by the website or its content including without limitation, delays or interruptions in operation or transmission, loss or corruption of data, communication or line failure, any person's misuse of the site or its content, or any errors or omissions in content.

12.15.    The minimum amount for a bet is Ksh10 unless otherwise stated on the website.

12.16.    BetBoss reserves the right to change odds and information displayed on the website at any time and without notice. BetBoss will take reasonable care to ensure the accuracy of all information but information is presented as a guide only. Prices displayed on the website are indicative only and are not binding until a bet has been confirmed by us. In the event of any particular information (score, time of game etc) being incorrect, BetBoss assumes no liability. Please refer to our betting rules for information on how we settle individual markets.

12.17.    All Customer offers are limited to one per person, family, household address, email address, telephone number, shared computer, public library, or workplace. We reserve the right to withdraw the availability of any offer or all offers to any Customer or group of Customers.

12.18.    Any customer who wishes to make a formal complaint about our services should first contact our Customer Services department using the contact us form on the website or in writing to [email protected] BetBoss shall endeavour to respond as quickly as possible and in all cases, shall strive to ensure that all customers are responded to within 48 hours. Our response will include the name of the person who will be handling your complaint and a full record of the correspondence will be tracked, including our operator login credentials who has provided any response to you. If you do not believe our resolution to your complaint to be fair and transparent then you are free to request for the complaint to be escalated to a member of our Senior Management team who will personally review your complaint and make a final decision.

12.20.    Bonuses

a)     All bonus offers can be redeemed only once per offer unless it was clearly stated otherwise.

b)     Each bonus offer will have its own "terms and conditions” and Customers should ensure that the terms and conditions associated with each individual bonus offer are read and understood prior to accepting the bonus.

c)     Promotions are subject to change. All management decisions are final.

d)     In the event of an error when attributing a bonus to a Customer account, the company reserves the right to correct such errors by removing any funds that were put into a Customer's account erroneously and by voiding any bets that were placed by these funds.



Account: A registered account maintained by a Player on BetBoss’ Computer System.

BET: The entry mechanism into any BetBoss game, involving the staking of money on the prediction of the outcome of an event.

Both teams to score means- Predict if both teams will score at least one goal each within the Full time of the match or not.

Cancelled Match: Any match that is cancelled for any reason beyond the control of BetBoss.

Correct Score: Bet on the exact number of goals scored by each team within the official Full time. For betting purposes, own goals count for the team in whose favor they have been scored 

Customer: Anyone placing a bet with the Company, synonymous in this document with YOU and Player

Double Chance: Predict either two out of three possible outcomes of a match with one bet. The following options are available:

·       1 or X - the result is either a home win or draw

·       X or 2 - the result is either a draw or away win

·       1 or 2 - the result is either a home win or away win

Euro Handicap 1:0: Predict the result when the Home team is given an advantage of 1 goal and this is added to their final score. Bets are settled by adding the goal to the Home team score at the end of the Full Time.

Euro Handicap 0:1: Predict the result when the Away team is given an advantage and this is added to their final score. Bets are settled by adding the goal to the Away team score at the end of the Full Time.

Full time (FT): The point when the official 90 minutes of a full match has elapsed, plus time added on by the referee to compensate for injuries to players that require treatment, substitutions or deliberate time-wasting by players (also called "stoppage time"). Full time Shall NOT include scheduled extra time (two half times of 15 minutes each), penalty shoot-outs etc.

First Half (HT1) means: The point when the official 45 minutes of the first half of the match has elapsed, plus time added on by the referee to compensate for injuries to players that require treatment, substitutions or deliberate time-wasting by players (also called "stoppage time"). Bets on First Half markets are settled at the end of the Full Time.

Jackpot 13 Game: A sports Jackpot game where each player picks the outcome of 13 advertised Match

Half Time/Full Time: Predict the result of a match both at the end of the First Half time and Full Time.

Identification Information: Information used to establish Your identity. Accepted forms of identification are: Kenyan National ID, Kenyan Passport ID, Kenyan Military ID, Kenyan Diplomatic ID or Non-Kenyan Passport with associated Kenyan Alien ID. However, the ID used to register the mobile money account affiliated with your BetBoss Account shall be the definitive form of ID required.

Interactive Betting Slip: The play slip available on the Site on which You can choose Your Selection for a Bet.

Interactive Prize: A prize won by a Player from a Bet.

Mobile Money: Note: Currently, the only mobile money operator available to your BetBoss Account is MPesa

Odds: The return on the money staked should the prediction recorded in a bet be correct. The odds paid are those at the time the bet is placed and no other.

Odd/Even: Predict whether the total goals in the match would be odd (1, 3, 5, 7...) or even (2, 4, 6, 8...). 0 (zero) goals will be settled as EVEN. Own goals count.

Over/Under 1:  If you BET OVER 1.5 goals to be scored, you win when there are 2 or more goals scored. If you BET UNDER 1.5 goals to be scored, you win when there are 0 or 1 goals scored.

Over/Under 2.5: If you BET on OVER 2.5 goals to be scored, you win if there are three or more goals scored. If you BET on UNDER 2.5 goals, you win if there are two or less goals scored i.e. 0, 1, or 2 goals.

Player: Has the same meaning as You.

Prize: An Interactive Prize. Reference in these Rules to payment of Prizes includes the awarding of non-cash Prizes.

Procedures: A written document issued by THE COMPANY for a particular Game, in addition to these Rules, that includes the name, the bet, how to play, how a Prize is won, and any other relevant information

Selection: The sequence of predicted outcomes for the 13 matches, either chosen by the player or selected at random using the automated selection option

Site: The website

Total Goals Exactly: Predict the exact total number of goals scored within the full time.

Transaction History: The history of payments into and out of Your Account, shown in the ‘My Account’ section of the Site.

User: anyone using the BetBoss website or any of BetBoss services.

Validation Requirements: THE COMPANY’s Entry validation requirements

Void: a bet that is not acceptable to the Company. In these cases, this bet, or part of the bet, is settled at the odd of 1.00. In the case of multiple/combination bets, the invalid result will not be included in the calculation of the (total) odds. In the case of a single bet this would mean the stake is returned to the customer.

Winning Bet: A Bet which entitles You to a Prize and which meets all the Validation Requirements.

You: The holder of an Account who is eligible to place bets using that Account, and whose Account has not been terminated, cancelled, suspended or closed.
